Even if it was solely pilot associated costs that were the difference between FFD airlines and their mainline counterparts, there's a myriad of other areas where operators such as SkyWest save on their pilots compared to UA/DL/AA/AK. These include hotels, scheduling rules, 401k contributions, health insurance...

I'll be sure and forward your name to Todd for future openings on the Nego Committee. You already see it from the company's point of view.

Health insurance at the regionals = get sick, get canned, get absolutely destroyed financially.

ZW had better insurance than United ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
$25 doctor visits and $50 hospital stays. That was all the out of pocket I ever paid.

United wins in almost every other category but the gap isn’t as big as everyone thinks. There are golden eggs we are leaving on the table here and the rates going to RJ pilots prove that.

I’m not sure that’s necessarily the health insurance, rather the sick time, LTD (or lack thereof), medical leave rules, etc.

Two decades ago at Trans States, the health insurance wasn’t that bad but there was nothing to help you once your sick time was gone.
