So much for the theory that the vote was originally going to close just days before UAL announced record breaking profits.

They stated record breaking revenue, not profit and I believe it was.

If they project $300 million profit per quarter, that's alot of money left on the table for the next 2 years...

To Whom It May Concern:
Revenue means nothing if costs are high enough. Profit is a meaningful metric. Revenue alone is not.

June was the highest revenue month in the history of the company. Revenue is a very important metric as it represents future profit and free cashflow capacity. Growing is expensive, and it is accepted that profit margins will suffer during times of aggressive growth. Profit is a useful metric only for very specific purposes. For context, Uber is worth much more than United and has never been profitable.

Cash flow is the metric. But hey, it’s about time for you to start beating the drum of fear and take the table scraps offered to ensure 50+1.

No, cost is the meaningful metric. We're a cost.

No. It’s not. It’s a fact that profit is the meaningful metric. Somebody posts a fact that doesn’t fit in with your angry little narcissistic world view and you immediately accuse them of “beating the drum of fear?” Overreact much? You’d come off as a lot less hysterical if you tried a more reasoned response to a valid point without the drama and hyperbole. Oops. Sorry, hope I wasn’t “beating the drum of fear”.

Profit is for shareholders. We're employees. Are you in the same union with me? The pilot one?
