United Airline Pilot/ Dies Christmas Day/ Family needs help
Postby Steven Arroyo » Sat Jan 02, 2016 12:55 pm
Dear fellow United Airline Pilots,
With special permission from the UAL Pilots Forum owner, Andrew Lager, we are sadly making the following post.
On Christmas Day, our fellow United Airline Pilot, First Officer Demico Black, tragically passed away (please see EWR CPO message below). Demico had been on Long Term Disability prior to his death and leaves behind a young widow and three young children.
Unfortunately, Demico's widow and children are in need of financial assistance.
We humbly and respectfully ask our fellow pilots to consider making a donation for our fallen ALPA Brother at the verified link below.

With our deepest appreciation!

From the EWR Chief Pilot Office:
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we write about the passing of EWR B737 First Officer Demico Black on Christmas Day. Demico graduated from Embry Riddle and was an intern at Express Jet in 2006 and was then hired as one their pilots. He was subsequently hired at Continental Airlines on November 6, 2007. Demico Black had an overwhelming passion for flying and upholding the airline pilot profession. For those who had the pleasure of knowing and working with him, his passion for family, friends, and his career were all readily apparent. Demico leaves behind his wife, Aennika and two small children, Ariana and Joshua.
Funeral arrangements:

Hi everyone, and Happy New Year.
I was given permission to post this on APC from another board.
I know it's tough to spend again just past Christmas..BUT this family, a UAL family needs our help. With 12K plus drivers on the seniority list, I for one, am asking for your help. With a widow and two little kids left behind, it's gonna be a tough road ahead.
Whether you knew him or not( I did not), we need to show our support. Please help the Black family with any amount you can.
We are UNITED!
