So TSA has 13 more planes coming?

I am considering this place for the fast upgrade since I have plenty of 121 time already. If upgrades are currently running 1 year, in 2016 i'm thinking upgrade will come much sooner.

Seems the contract is ok, the only downside people gripe about is the fact they are 50 seat jet only. For me this is no problem but if I was to spend a length of time here when oil costs go up the fleet is at higher risk of being parked. So I can see there is only 1 disadvantage.

Any thought on this? where are the 13 jets coming from?

thanks

The 13 are part of the original contract from United. The delivery schedule was supposed to be finished this month but was slowed down due to hiring.

I wouldn't worry about it being a 50 seat operator. Compass and GoJet are also owned by TSH. With the current shortage of new hires across the industry, if things got bad enough they could park the least lucrative contracts and merge airlines.

Good question. From what I hear its next to nothing in the left seat (until you actually upgrade). The biggest attraction for me is the $50 CQFO pay with the rapid upgrade.

That's if they still have the program running. I heard no more CQFO.

All my cqfo bid FO because they can hold lines. Hence the better qol.

Can you actually bid just to fly as a CA? (Even if it means you'll seat reserve)

You'll be lucky to fly as a captain. Better to stay on the FO and go for the qol.

For anyone at a stagnant airline it is a good deal to make $50.00 in the right seat. Don't expect a whole lot of PIC but you will get an upgrade within the year. The upgrade is painless because it is clerical....one day you are an F.O. the next CA.

Interviewing with TSA shortly. Can anyone recommend a hotel that's close and nice to the interview site? TSA sent info for the Pear Tree Inn. Additionally any info regarding the interview would be welcomed. I have been reading the interview gouge, just looking for additional input. Thanks in advance.
