the issue is we should get 62 as a minimum for the month because we were put on the Captain list for the month.
And that's how the union interprets it I believe. They are getting paid as captains when FLYING as Captains but the mid month check has them paid half guarantee as the blended rate FO.

The company wanted street Captains but the union said no to protect FOs on property. Pay is done by hand and while it will take a little, I'm sure the issue will be resolved. Heck, cancellation pay is only paid of the employee submits it.

We were told in training from both the Director of Flight Ops and System Chief Pilot that, on a month to month basis, we would either be bidding as a CA and paid CA rates, or bidding as FO and be paid the blended rate, unless we flew as a CA then of course that would be paid at CA rates. All of the CQFO's that got done were told from crew planning that they would be bidding as CA for March, and were paid accordingly (not counting the other mistakes that payroll has already made). Looks like Illinois pilot has been paid incorrectly (all of my pay checks have been wrong in some way or another since finishing training). If this stuff keeps up it will be making a lot of folks pretty angry pretty quickly.

Yes, I actually received the $61.91 pay rate on my last paycheck (3/13) along with several others from my class. It was our first paycheck off training pay. I was paid 37.5 hours at $61.91 and a few hours at $43.42 to make up two days off OE where I was on the FO bid list.

We are the first CQFO class and yes, there are growing pains but they are being sorted out. Its taking the HQ staff some time to get use to how it all works as it is new to them. The company has had CQFOs before but most of the HQ staff didn't work here when that last happened.

The payroll department here is absolutely horrendous. Not only do they not get things right, but they will not answer their phone and will not return voicemails. I know one guy who, quite literally, left 12 voicemails to payroll and not a single one was returned.

So you're telling me I have to not only do my full time job, but I have to be a payroll auditor too?? It's things like this that will turn people off to coming to TransStates. If you want to be told something in the interview/training process, then get dic$ked around with once you actually start working....come to TSA.

Department? That's funny. Try payroll person. For whatever reason, TSA still does paper payroll. Im not saying I like it, but it's the reality. When you have one or two people doing payroll for two pilot groups(TSA/GJ) mistakes happen. There's a reason why the overhead at TSA is lower than at xjt or envoy. There are less people doing more work. Wait until you realize there is one person building all pairings for two companies. With the new software coming online in June, the company says all payroll issues should be solved. We'll see.

yes several have which is what what they did but the payrate was incorrect.

of the 6 CQFO's that were done for this month (there are 15 now) all of us have flown between 30-60 hrs left seat only 1 has flown right seat. In fact it's going to be really weird sitting right seat as I don't feel nearly as comfortable

The payroll department is my one compaint about the company. As Breezy said before, you actually have to submit a detailed description of what you are owed in order to get your cancellation pay. You will never get ahold of anyone by calling them. We're supposed to submit our reports on the 3rd of the month, detailing what we are owed from the previous month. I still haven't even got a reply that I submitted on March 3. They will pay you, but not without you submitting a report. I think the girl that does it is overwhelmed and she needs help. It is very frustrating though. They need to get this thing straightened out.

Hey at least when you sit right seat you will be paid correctly!
