Looks like our wonderful training department failed another CQFO on his PC. No set standards = No idea whats going on = FAILURE = No job at United(unless you are a protected class).

If you are failing a PC, that's what, more than 3 retrainable areas? Those are some HUGE mistakes.

However, some of these guys are busting their orals. I know from my own experience that we have guys giving these things who are night and day when compared to each other..

I'd say to anyone thinking about joining TSA to really look at what else is out there. First off, at the rate people are leaving, I'm not expecting all of this growth to actually work out. We just had another CQFO leave today and at least two FO's are right behind him with 777 class dates at Southern. They can't replace these guys fast enough. They upgraded a bunch of the CQFOs but guess what, already one is about to turn in his resignation! One should look at SkyWest maybe. Their upgrade time is down from what it was and they continue to get new aircraft. If someone is seeking a fast upgrade, why not try USA jet? You'll fly a real airplane (something over 50,000) and probably have more time off.

There's a reason that these guys are leaving. Yes, some are for better opportunities but we're not talking Fedex or anything. Three guys left this month for ACMI carriers. Thats a tough schedule with very long stretches away from home. Life must be pretty bad for a guy to go and jump on that band wagon. Things need to improve at TSA, management needs to stop treating us like we're all in the third grade, scheduling needs to pull their head out, pay needs to improve for everyone not just first year recruits, and we really need to revamp our training program. Once these things happen I think we'll start to see pilots actually singing on for more than an 8 month stretch and then we'll be able to facilitate some actual growth.
