I don't see how this place is going to attract the pilots it needs. Even if we have industry leading pay for a 50 seater, who is going to come here and why? The plane is extremely outdated, uncomfortable, undependable, and the consumer hates it. I still don't know why they haven't taking a cutting torch to these things years ago. Someone who is just starting out is going to take a 175 or even CRJ900 over the e145-pos. Anyone who tells you otherwise is full of **** or couldn't get hired. So if we can't attract pilots due to the aircraft we fly, how do we get them to come here? With pay? LOL... A marginal pay increase to be stuck in a plane with no future.. Yeah right!!! We really can't offer anything that the other regionals don't already have. Skywest for example has bases all over the US, modern equipment, decent pay, and a pretty solid working relationship with management. How are we to compete with that? We can vote some BS in that makes first year pay higher than the rest but I still don't think that will attract people away from airlines with the modern equipment and comparable pay rates. I mean, is an extra 5 or even 10 grand to fly a 145 over a 175 or CRJ worth it.??? Nope... I think these next few months (years) are going to be pretty rough for us. Vote NO, lets hold out for what we are worth..!!

Know Who You Work For.
You are out of your mind if you think the company will give you anything you deserve. This company will always be -$1 under the highest payscale. Why do you think they even got this new flying? They are the cheapest and are the only one that can do or want to do this 50 seat crap fest. All the other places are dumping their 50 seaters, we are expanding.
So, by its nature this is a very risky operation because there's no future in it. The aircraft are old and nobody wants them. There is no way in hell they will give you higher pay, they will just ride it out. If nobody wants to come they'll just tell the partners we can't staff it and they will still be flying with not 70 but 30 planes and still make money.
So in short, vote yes on this. We are fortunate that we have what we have right now. We can focus on things like more days off with PBS. We need to keep this company going and we need to have good management relations so we can get 50+ seat flying. I know most have their foot out the door and don't care but you need to think about the collective good of the pilots not of just yourselves. Getting 100 bucks an hour for a ERJ that's basically on a yearly contract is unrealistic, maybe if the MRJ shows up with a 10 year contract, then we can talk about pay rates.

Just a thought based upon my time there...
Reserve rules needed improvement. Did this TA place a limit on the conversion of LC to SC? IIRC, several reserve pilots could commute on LC but were constantly converted to SC preventing a commute.

No but supposedly all the section 25 improvements will be part of the PBS negotiation.

looking on the outside when is your VOTE? Sep 30 deadline for congressional hearing on reducing the 1500 rule is coming up. The RAA has been pushing/threatening the congress men and women to get this reduced. If ALPA is not pushing their agenda the RAA might get it reduced.
Just looking on the outside. If there is no appreciable wage increase with a QOL is should be voted down. The MRJ should not influence sense it is not on the property, should be negotiated when it arrives.
Keep at it.

Its sole purpose is as a recruitment tool. The airline with the highest first year pay is usually the place no one wants to go.
There is a reason that TSA 1st year pay will be significantly higher than the other airlines. The pilot candidate will have to ask themselves why. Why is TSA willing to pay me so much more? Has it got something to do with the aircraft, QOL, training, etc?
