Nothing new. They just congratulated us on a possible new contract. iPad, Raleigh, pay issues they're still working on it. The usual. One of the guys also basically reminded us its our job to catch mx, dispatch, and everybody else's mistakes as we are the last line of defense against screw ups or something like that. That's it.

"This three-year agreement includes, among other improvements, annual cost-of-living pay increases for all pilots, a significant increase in first-year first officer pay, an increase to the per diem rate, a reduction to the percentage pilots pay for health insurance premiums, an increase to the company's 401(k) contributions, and a retention bonus."
Like I suggested, only significant change is 1st year FO pay. I guess we can cheer for the cost-of-living adjustments increase.

And reduced health insurance and 401k. The first officer pay incentives also help with recruiting so people come in behind you. Unless you likeep reserve.
The email he just sent out said PBS will address scheduling. They aren't going to dump it after investing that kind of money.

Some of the contractual improvements I've heard are definitely good and move our contract further up the latter in the regionals. Like a few have said the other improvements aka min day are coming with PBS and the company needs it more than we do.
I know it may be hard for some of the doom and gloomers to admit, but this just may be a good deal. The company is also actively working to resolve our pay issues.
For those that love to trash this place, current employees included, you have to respect that they really ARE trying to improve it. The ship doesn't turn over night, but it's happening.
Company guy! Here it comes. I've complained just as much as everyone else about the pay and SABRE issues so I don't want to hear it. It's nice to know that they are working to rectify the situation.

My time at TSA was pretty short, but I was there long enough to know that the current contract was pretty lousy in many respects. I certainly hope that this new one is the improvement that is needed.
As for those of you hoping/waiting for PBS: if you've never used it, be careful what you wish for. PBS can (and will) bite you in unexpected ways. That said, having used it for most of my career, I consider a vast improvement over hard lines from a pilot perspective....assuming, of course, that the company releases open trips to the pilots, and doesn't hold them back to assign to reserves.
