I'm just offering a differing POV. But I think RES is definitely 1-leg commutable already. The Reserve LOA 13-02 sez, "pliot will not be required to report before 1200 following a day off" (para C.2.c), and "pilots will not be assigned to PM airport res on the last day of a block" (para A.5). So in by noon, and off @ 1500, and just expect to used like a 3rd world slave in between.

In fact, I bid for a reserve line as my #3 choice this month just b/c it was more commutable than nearly all the other lines.

I never called the CP for release - always worked it out w/ skeds, but I never asked for more than to limo out of DH back to base on the last day.

Again, just offering altPOV for lurkers considering their next career move.

I want to out everybody? Are you listening to yourself? Who am I trying to out? You say I don't know you, so i offer a way to prove it. I have no interest in calling out everyone.
You keep putting words in my mouth for what Im saying. And everything you say is speculation and assumption.

All I said was if you want to go around posting initials for who you think people are, then have the guts to post your own. And everything you have said is speculation as well, because NOBODY has seen the TA yet except the MEC and NC.

I haven't said one thing either way on the agreement except that I am reserving judgement until I read it. What I have said is everyone I have heard from who has seen it likes it. You are the one who has been speculating about the agreement, not me.

I understand youre offering another perspective, and thats perfectly fine. If everyone had a reserve experience as smooth as yours, it would be tolerable here. But you seem to have had something out of the ordinary within the scope of time spent on reserve here.

FWIW I've quoted the LOA when issues came up, and was effectively told "tough, you can always grieve it." I hope more get to have an easy go of things like you had as we move forward but I have my doubts.

Better reserve protections would be nice, particularly with concern to long call notification and limits on the amount of times they can move you from long call to short call reserve. Unfortunately most of the senior guys have not been on reserve in a while, and it isn't a priority for them so that is why the reserve rules at regionals are so bad. We'll see when the TA comes out but I wouldn't get my hopes up.

You accuse me of trashing the TA by saying to expect nothing more than mediocre gains, I accuse you of running your mouth and speculate. If you only flew the plane as good as you run your mouth.

The end.

Although its unlikely will see it again, we still need to have sound language and QOL improvements for IF something changes and calls for long term reserve. We did after all have guys sitting close to 6 years on reserve.
