Hey, the FAA certified the old rest rules right up until they decided they were unsafe. Same thing with the old experience rules. Right up until they killed a whole bunch of people. Hell, it's the same agency that said it was UNSAFE to use anything but DC H-10-60s in the ERJ. I mean, they can't POSSIBLY make a mistake, right?

But yeah, you go ahead and keep trusting the pencil pushers to decide what's safe for people flying airplanes.

CBreezy, I've been following your posts for some time now and I've concluded that you are a magnificent douche bag. I can only imagine what a four day pairing with you or your snuggling buddy MavAv8r would be like. You fit the mold of the typical crew member responsible for ensuring that the QOL standards remain low. I pray to 10 different Gods nightly that I never end up having to fly with the same airline as you. Thank you and please find a new profession or hobby that will keep you away from the airlines.

I think TSA is fairly mismanaged. Scheduling is a disaster. Maintenance is infuriating and dispatch doesn't really understand how airplanes work. I take exception that anyone thinks I'm some management stooge. I just think people who have only heard rumors about Lidos and hate them purely because it saves the company money are whining idiots. Every company on the planet is out to save money. I have many friends in many different fields and no one expects anything for cutting costs...except a job. Yet, here we are, saying that Lidos cost the company less so why should I care? They are an adequate product and in many ways better than Jepps. If there are errors, I haven't seen them, and I'm sure they are working with Lufthansa (a major international carrier by the way) to get them fixed.

"But but but but learning something new is so HARD! But but but but why should I care about saving the company money. That's completely unreasonable! Keep both the engines running and burn that Hulas gas!!!"
