How do you know he was or wasn't sick? Can you see through time and space? Can you see other dimensions? You sound very arrogant. And no pilots do not use sick time to get paid, maybe you do. Most call sick because they can't fly due to being overworked or actually being sick.

Oh stop. Quit acting like you don't know that this happens at EVERY airline. If I had a dollar every time someone said "man. That trip isn't worth jack. I feel a cold coming on," I'd own a new 70" TV. Or how about the guy who, not more than 5 pages ago said that "calling in sick is the only way I have any control over my schedule?"

I'm not sorry that you feel my brutal honesty sounds like arrogance. It happens and IS happening. Management is full of pilots too. You don't think they can't see a connection between junior manning/reroutes and a spike in sick calls during, historically, a time that nationally has the least likelihood of illness?

I don't think it's technically permitted by the chief pilot to ask what is wrong with you. All you have to say is that you are unfit to fly. If they have a reason to doubt you, they can request a doctor to verify. At company expense.

Lol...well I wouldn't hold your breath, but I did hear September. What the hell good is APC without rumors anyway.

That DEN captain can make a butt load of money if he takes advantage of the 200%. The guy has vacation the whole month. I'd jump all over it....

The problem with Lidos has always been inaccurate information; not the pilots' inability to read them.
