I'll be real interested to see if they actually upgrade the CQFOs or what they are going to do. If they are taking upgrade slots and therefore the actual class of FO's will be even smaller. I was told 10 upgrades for Aug and of course there was only 5-6. By seniority of course they would upgrade but its almost like they don't know what they are going to do and no-one has any answers.

In less than 5 months the first group of CQFO's will be on 2nd year pay and making over $50/hr flying right seat. That seems like a good motivation for the upgrades to accelerate sooner than later.

If I had to guess on the upgrade slow down it would be because the current wait for OE is 4-5 weeks for Captains. That's two months of lost productivity for the company. Better to have them fly 80 hours than sit at home. There are 9 LCA awaiting certification but our POI is a no-talent a-clown who is more concerned about who is doing CBTs on overnights than doing his real job.

From 117:
Q-72- Could a flightcrew memeber on his/her own volition do the tasks in Question 71 above?
A-72- Yes, but the flight crew member's decision to perform any task for the certificate holder during a rest period must be entirely voluntary. This could also include voluntarily performing computer based training, monthly schedule bidding, required safety reports, etc.

They were crying a few months ago they wouldn't have anyone in DEN and it would be junior, that hasn't been the case at all. People have been waiting months to hold DEN...STL growing the fastest and everyone is getting assigned it out of training…
Are more planes scheduled to go to Denver? How many more planes in total are left to come?

You are extremely naive if you thought they were going to dump 100 crews in overnight.

They have never changed the fact that 18 are going there. They have the people to go to Denver, but due to everyone being stuck waiting for IOE they have no one to backfill the slots. Hence, the Denver transfers have been few. Whenever they get the new hires through OE and on line, you will see people get transferred out there.

Today's FO reserve list showed:
DEN - 5,
IAD - 16,
ORD - 6,
STL - 17.
IAD and ORD have been consistent since Feb. IAD had/has around 18 jets, so it's safe to say DEN is not growing as fast as we expected, although there are 1/2 a doz XR's sitting at maint hangar in STL. STL is blossoming with the American flying that may end up in the rumored RDU base.
