From what I've heard, that plan was denied by DD. He wants to have his own come to jesus meeting with all of them.

A new certificate created to fly them the cheapest? That sounds familiar. At the end of the day, Ox is a scumbag. I also heard they were gonna shelve the contract for a year. They're gonna have to do something to attract new FO's to fly a 145...and not all of them can be captain. So why don't they make it a near industry leading contract? That would sure help. Insurance rates need to improve drastically. Trans States is gonna have to compete with other places that have flows and quick upgrades. CQFO's is not a long term answer.

Keep in mind the management at Holdings has its head stuck in the mindset that there is an unlimited supply of pilots who will jump at the chance to come here. TSA and Gojets have never struggled to hire pilots until lately. Thank god for KS or we would all be in trouble. The management at Holdings is still wistfully dreaming of the days when they could get suckers left and right to go to Gojet, and would probably love to re create another Gojet. Unfortunately the reality is pilots are a hot commodity, and are going to get hotter. Holdings will get dragged kicking and screaming into the idea they have to pay pilots a decent wage, treat them properly, and give them opportunities for the future if they want to continue to attract people. KS understands this and has been able to keep things together so far, but it is going to get interesting as the available pilot pool shrinks. What will happen when regionals start hiring street captains and offer a sizeable bonus and a flow? United is the other part of this. If UAL doesn't get on board with a decent flow, then its regionals will struggle to hire vs other regionals with a flow. Went back to my old flight school a month ago and all the students there are talking about are airlines with a flow. You aren't going to get a look from any of these guys without it. It is what it is, and I expect UAL will be dragged kicking and screaming into a flow as well.

Also during the meet and greet with ox, someone asked about pay or offering signing bonuses (before we had one) and he said something along the lines that pilots were paid plenty, just that the problems were with the 1500 hour rule. Failing to get that the low pay is why people aren't joining this line of work, and why there are plenty of atps and people with 1500 hours that left flying because of low pay.
From my short time here, it seems Trans States can't think ahead of the present. Like things are working today, why wont it be ok tomorrow? And if not, we'll put a bandaid on to fix it, and not worry about running out of bandaids.
I agree with the flow thing. When I made my decision to come here it was right before these flow agreements got going, and I have to admit sometimes I regret not going to a place that has it, but what keeps me from leaving is not wanting to start from scratch And the seniority I've gained in my short time here.

New to the forums, thought it might be way to start learning about the industry so please forgive me if this sounds ignorant. As I understand it though, TSA has relatively short upgrade times compared to some of the other regionals out there.
Doesn't the quicker upgrade time and the opportunity to start logging PIC trump a situation whereby even though there's a flow agreement, the seniority situation is stagnant?
For instance, Envoy has a flow agreement but the sentiment seems to be stay away because despite the flow agreement it's a long wait in the right seat.
