May be a little out of my element here, but the last I knew the simulator was no more. I'm guessing they still make you take the 50 question ATP style written.

1 on 1 has always been very straight forward and is mainly a get to know you, are you trainable type of experience.

Still a great time to get in on the growth as we are no where close to being done yet.

1. You've got a screw loose

2. I'd fire the payroll department for complete incompetence....effective immediately.

Getting the union involved monthly just to get paid correctly is completely ridiculous. This last time, the union fixed it as they always do. She (payroll) corrected her mistakes. At the risk of sounding redundant, I sent another email just to confirm what was still owed, and she replied with confirmation that we were all on the same page. She STILL SHORTED me what I was owed! That's when I was beginning to think these weren't all honest mistakes. Yes, my patience has run out. Do not mess with a man's money. That is life 101 sh!t.
I don't know if it's intentional, but incompetence seems more likely. That and just pure laziness as they are about to be replaced. It's really the only way I can rationalize why things in that department have taken a god awful turn in the past few months, because it wasn't like this in the past.

It's getting to the point where there needs to be a form for everything ( as the CQFO's see ) to get paid correctly right now. I'm only assuming it's due to the laziness/incompetence and being overwhelmed by doing it for 3 companies. It's not an excuse, but it is the reality of the situation, and I'm sure as hell not going anywhere because I have to fill out a pay form.

However, if it takes filing a grievance to get paid then that is what needs to be done, and unfortunately that's the way things seem to be rolling right now. One can only hope that it gets better when Lufthansa comes online.

I can say this, I always end up A. Getting Paid and B. Get Paid correctly. So there's that.

Fiesty. Just the way I like it.

1) I've got more screws loose than an EP that's been flying on IOE for the last 3 weeks.

2) I would do the exact same. I'm not disagreeing, it's ridiculous we have to get the union involved to get paid appropriately… but you gotta do what you gotta do.

I'm sure 90% of the CQFOs are great. I can only weigh in on a few. One is a friend that got hired and hasn't complained once through all of this. Seems like less people get ****ed off if you put your head down and power thru sh!t rather than taking to a forum to complain. With that being said, the few CQFOs I've run into in crew rooms that are p!ssed off that they are flying as an FO and insist on doing stuff the way they did it at their last airline…. they far overshadow the great CQFOs that TSA is lucky to have.
This. Some are involved in more than just flying the line, but some of the ones I have had the "pleasure" to bump into on line and in the crew room have been grade A tools with a major hard on for this place. Eerily familiar to the Comair parade that came through a few years ago.

Just breathe boys. You'll be holding Captain in a few months anyway.

Thanks!
When did you interview and go through training?
I'm guessing hotels are still double-occupancy in training?

It's been a long while since my new hire training. From what I've heard it's been double occupancy. My class was double occupancy, but I didn't see it was a negative.

For a while it was kind of hit or miss whether or not it was single occupancy or not, but lately it seems like its back to double.

So do you also volunteer to share hotel rooms with captains when you're on trips?

Burn! Don't be jealous that dummies aren't invited. Is it hard being angry and bitter all the time?
