What about dropping down to a lower amount of hours, some might like that QOL feature.

When using PBS I typically was bidding 17 days off on an 80-85 hour month so my QOL was fine. Our line bids typically don't have more than 14 days off and some have block as low as 79 hours.

With the current parallel PBS bids? From what I'm hearing, participation is low which doesn't give people an accurate representation of what sort of schedule they could hold using PBS.

That's good to hear but you could try and negotiate down to 60-65 hours to get 20 off. Some will like the money and want to work, others the QOL and the days off.

No when I was using PBS someplace else. I was able to get everything I wanted last month. Still waiting on this month but I used the same bidding strategy like I had before. I think my bid was 80ish hours and 15 days off last month. But as you said, due to low participation it is hard say how PBS will work here.

That will never happen here. If the best we can get with paper bids is 79ish hours and 14 days off why in the world would we waste time on something like this that the company would never agree to. There are many other things that are realistic that we could negotiate for.

That's what sap could give you. For comparison, others are doing it.

The key part of that statement is COULD. I'm more interested in what I can get now for PBS. A minimum day is a big one as a 4 hour minimum day would have given me 20 more hours of credit last month. Right now we are negotiating for PBS. If people decide they want to explore something else in the next contract that's fine.

Isn't SAP contingent upon reserve coverage?
