If they put the contract on ice, they'll lose PBS.
As far as the day off comment, there's no guarantee of that with line bidding either. At least with PBS I have a shot of getting that one block of days off I need whereas with line bidding I'm having to choose between line 2 and line 11 where I might not get either.

I would absolutely vote yes for PBS if the pot were sweet enough. With the way scheduling is here, I feel like I would get a tiny bit of control over my schedule whereas right not I do not.

Personally, whether we are talking MRJ's, ERJ's, or CRJ's, I think their days may be numbered. Mainlines don't want them, Regionals will not be able to staff them, so I don't know what that means for their status.

This is the best reason for PBS. As we go forward adjustments to schedules through drops/swaps will be more difficult if not impossible due to staffing levels. If you can't get the days you need in the initial bid, then you may not be able to get them. But we aren't going to give PBS away either, and my sense is without some kind of minimum day PBS may not pass.
