From who? Do we really believe this terrible rumor?

Word around the training center. Take it for what it's worth... They said 8 a month for 2 months this summer. Ramping up DEN for UA and STL for AA. I'll believe it when I see it. Just passing along what I heard...

I hope not. Seems like current time from beginning of training to end is approaching close to 120 days (Im at day 87 and still no peep about IOE and XR training isnt scheduled for another 2 weeks.) If that holds then the only folks flying this summer will be the ones who have started class before April, and from what Ive heard from folks on the line is that we're already struggling to move metal.

As far as the STL base I know they need people cause CP is actively calling people and asking if they would bid STL..

Also for those of you in training for CQFO get your LMS XR course done and in RSQ you can knock out both! That will help get you to the line faster from what I've been told.

I dont understand why ya'll have a separate IOE for an XR....an extra couple of thrust settings, a ventral tank, and winglets really doesn't change the airplane but the distance it flies and how it gets off the ground. not starting nothing, just kind of scratching my head...

Trust me you're not the only one. They do the XR differences in the Sim cause the FAA wanted it that way. A lot of the things they do at TSA is the very old way of doing things some of it cause of the dinosaur Check Airmen, but mostly cause of our FAA FSDO.

There isn't extra IOE, but if you don't have the additional sim training for the XR they won't put you on an IOE pairing that has XR flying, thus reducing your available flying.

We have to do the SIM cause they want us to use flaps 18 more. This way it will save fuel......And saving fuel equals......more money saved.
