[QUOTE=CBreezy;1841349]He thanked management a lot for all their help...you know, for not giving them raises and treating them like crap.[/QUOT
This actually made me laugh! Was there anything said about a new base?

If I start training next month, about how long do you guys think it'd take before I could hold ORD as a FO?

I'm 121 current on the 145, does TSA have a program in place to get you to the line faster than the standard long term training? Any insights would be appreciated!
Thanks!

My guess is as soon as Denver opens classes will start being awarded Denver in training. With the call stating yesterday that they plan to have 18 airplanes in Denver by the end of the year, staffing will need to increase there. We maybe have 40 - 50 FO's with bids in for Denver? Just a top of my head guess… the last time I counted, October 2014 new hires will be in the low 30's seniority wise in DEN when it opens. That included numerous amounts of FO's senior to them that will be upgraded anyway. So over the next few months as we up our numbers of upgrades, they will move quickly up the list.
It may open relatively senior, but it's going to go Junior very, very fast, on both sides as soon as we start putting airplanes there. There may be some movement on the FO side in ORD with some of those FO's chasing better schedules, but good luck getting it. I would guess they are going to try and get as many people into DEN/IAD as possible and backfill very little into ORD since it won't be seeing the newer aircraft. I didn't pay much attention to the transfer notice yesterday, but from an initial glance it didn't look like anyone was transferred into ORD.

We don't. Some of the newer guys can chime in, but it sounds like the guys hired in the beginning of December are just hitting the line now. 3 months from Day 1 to Line Check seems to be pretty standard around here.

They were working on a short course for typed guys but now they don't really need it since most of the cqfo's needed have already been hired. So I doubt they will ever get it.
