Complaining about charts that every pilot group in the industry has hated, not to mention begging to get crews violated or worse with the level of "training" provided.....yeah, guess I am.

Every pilot group has used LIDOs? Did you get more extensive Jepp training in initial? The biggest difference is no briefing strip (which, if you can't brief your own approach, you should reconsider your profession) and that it actually gives you more situational awareness.

If you get violated because the company changes the format of charts, or worse, you're a terrible pilot. End of story.

Every pilot group that has used them, smarta$$. From what I've seen of LIDO, Jeppesen makes a far superior product and hence doesn't require as much training. Especially true of SID/STAR charts.

I'm sure plenty of not-so-terrible pilots will be submitting ASAPs because of the switch. What percentage of US airlines have gone back to Jepp after the LIDO experiment?

Biggest complaint I've heard is the number of books you have to carry because there are so many charts. Won't be a factor for us. Many guys I've talked to like them.

Might as well get with the program. They are here to stay. They are part of a larger deal with Lufthansa for a new scheduling and dispatch system.

I've yet to talk to someone that prefers them, but I hope that is the case.

I plan to; just a bit annoyed of know-it-all Embraer Aces giving me $hit (not you) for voicing my concerns.

I talk to 100 XJT guys 99 say Skywest is parking all 145s (minus 15) by the end of 2017, 1, you say they aren't.

So, sorry if I believe what the majority of XJT guys tell me.
I like how you stretch the truth. Under your philosophy I could say TSA is done by 2019 because that is when all your CPAs end ( I know you guys are getting MRJs, but so far they can't be flown under any of the scope clauses because of the weight issue. Now I know they say they are working on getting the weight in to fit into the scope, but I will believe it when I see it. Hell they can't even get the Aircraft up and running.) Yes all our CPAs end by the end of 2017, but they all have extensions clauses in them. Plus my sources are not regular "joe line' pilots. I can tell you that XJT will be fine. There is a lot that is going to change in the next few years. You just need to stick to the facts about TSA because you look like a fool spouting out stuff you don't have a clue about. Plus if I had to guess I would say that XJT will not be flying bigger than 50 seat ACs in the near future. Now will we be a 2800 pilot group? No, we will be downsized. We have to to keep up with attrition. And by the way Endevour is imploding. They can't staff the flying they have, that is why our CRJ side is picking up some of their flying. Like I said before I think TSA will be able to staff due to the fact that you guys are competing for the pilots that will bail. You have TSA, PSA, Piedmont, Compass and Go Jets, and Mesa. I think it is a brilliant move by you guys to offer a program that ups the pay. It will cause the others to not be able to staff.

CQFO. I tried to talk myself out of this...I really didn't envision a lateral move to another regional. Too many pro's against cons. Even if it is BS and there isn't much left seat flying, I will still make around $5.00 more as an F.O.

Can someone get hired on as a standard FO and later become CQFO once hours are met? I guess I'm asking if transition is possible. Thanks
