In a week or two FAA will release a list of approved headsets that we can use which allows pilots to use their own.

I also think we will see a new domicile somewhere. Not necessarily LGA. We will probably staff some of the AA flying out of STL, but to staff 15 a/c worth of flying in LGA solely out of STL is not practical.

Is there truth to the rumor of an abbreviated training program for people who hold the EMB145 type rating?

In the end it wouldn't be that abbreviated. Most likely just a couple of less sims, which honestly you would be taking a left seat upgrade check. You want the extra sims. Trust me.

Wait the FAA doesn't allow you to use your own personal headset? That is the craziest rule I've heard in a while. I have a Headset that is TSO'd what's wrong with that?
