No one cares about your decisions you make. If you want to go all-in with a company with CLEAR ethical issues, then by all means, do it. Don't let the door hit you on the way out. Just don't try and sell a bill of goods to the rest of us.
The CEO comment is hysterical. Do you really think he told you the truth? Or is it more likely he told you what he knew you wanted to hear. I'm going with the latter. f you are financially secure enough to take a HUGE risk, then good for you. Don't sucker anyone else into it with the lies that it's a great place to work and that "all that is in the past."
As to the comment about upgrading on merit versus seniority. Let's not be ridiculous. How do you define merit? I'm pretty sure having a minimum experience, going through an uprgrade, passing a checkride, passing a LOE, and passing a FED ride are all pretty merit based. It's not like the DO knights you when you're number is up and you are magically sitting in the left seat. How does your company determine merit? Is it based on how many beers you have with the CEO? Maybe it's based on how few times your flight is delayed, diverted, or canceled? That sounds a lot better.

Not as long as you I'm sure because you seem to be the genius here. Its bad form?? Ha and it's not bad form to run your mouth online? So what if the guy made a huge mistake with ADI? Whats it to you? If his presence in the crew room bothered you so badly then why not speak up like an adult. Regardless its all irrelevent at this point. Youre happy, hes happy. We are all winners.
However, If you wanna talk the talk, walk the walk. If you wanna stick your opinions out there, don't be upset when others discuss them in any forum. It a big boy game.
