Well this individual tends to think he's a genuis. But I'd be real careful about leaving TSA right now for a company that was bought by a CEO being sued by his former partners, furloughs 3/4 of his employees in 2012 after owning what had been a successful business for a year, and allegedly bounced a few paychecks. Particularly when this Captain is bragging he knows the CEO and is talking about what a great guy he is.....

Like I said earlier. Good luck guys, you're going to need it......

What're you talkin about? They've been in business for 55 years! They must be doing something right.

......aside from the fact they've gone belly up how many times in there?

It must be hard to be so disgruntled. Last time I checked we are all adults. It's sad people must trash talk a fellow employee. Is anyone even aware of this captains capiblities in the cockpit. I personally know him and he's a standup guy. ADI may not be the top of the ivory tower but I'd hope it works out for him. If youre happy at TSA then be happy. Trash talking doesn't make you jackwagons look good.

Hope all you Waterskier's are having a good day so far. Been lurking so to speak for a while now and I found it interesting to see that people I thought were decent humans, having flown with some of you I'm sure, would enjoy trash talking fellow former coworkers that were only trying to improve the qualities of their lives by taking another job (ADI) in my case. Interestingly enough, I guess I'm one of these so-called idiots that left TSA for Aerodynamics. I made the jump before the announcement was made and I don't regret my decision because commuting to sit short call and never getting used was becoming tiresome. Also, I had many captains tell me, "They may furlough in November or we may get flying" so I chose to plan for the worst but I guess that makes me a moron. Having been a low time guy, I would have also not seen the right seat anytime soon and 24K then 29k wasn't going to help me pay off debt. Aerodynamics provided a home base for me with a right seat salary starting at $40k, per diem $50 per day (even in training), bonus incentive pay, and an eventual schedule of 6 on 6 off. Also, I upgrade based on my work ethic, skill, and motivation, not when my "number" is called because thats all I was at TSA just an employee number. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed flying with most of the people I worked with at Trans States and regarded the company as a great place to start, but I saw ADI as an opportunity to improve my QOL and still do. Also, this so called "blowhard" captain only ever tried to help people I far as I could see.

ADI is not going to be "taking" any flying from TSA or anyone else in that regard, we are a 121s soon to be full 121 charter and our only viable market competition is Elite. All our flying is self branded private charter, NCAA, NASCAR, and any EAS flying to come will be self branded as well.

And trash talking the company in the crew room where everybody has to listen to you gets really, really old. Also hearing him trash talk guys he has flown with gets really old too.

But best of luck to him. He's going to need it at ADI.

Seems like you know Mr. Roberts pretty well, he talks...ALOT! That being said we all trash talk TSA that will never change. Low wages, long hours and zero downtime can make one weary. I'm not sure who he has trash talked as far as other crew members but every encounter I had with the chap was one of many laughs and he always respected me as a co worker. Good thing you don't have to hear him any longer. You're the MVP.

Woah....upgrade merit based not seniority! You can have that trash. Holy crap! Sounds like a super safe outfit already.

Sorry whoever told you we were ever in threat of furloughs as that is crazy inaccurate and dumb.

Like I said. Good luck to you. You're going to need it. This guy makes Hulas look like a choir boy, and I don't think Hulas has ever bounced a check to his employees......
