Some of you folks are really funny. You think they are going to hire CQFOs willy nilly and end up paying upwards of $50 an hour for FOs for years? All they have to do is attract enough CQFOs till they have enough people on property that are Captain qualified for all the aircraft. Then they stop hiring CQFOs and go back to hiring the college CFIs to fill the right seat. When we get the last of the planes, all the CQFOs that want them are awarded Captain upgrades. They don't want these CQFOs in the right seat. They want them in the left seat as permanent Captains with brand new FOs in the right seat making regular FO pay.
All the blended pay rate is a guarantee that they will make more than FO pay if they come here because our contract does not allow for permanent street captains.

Sadly he's here in the vain hope that experienced FOs will be convinced not to come here for a great opportunity, the stars will align, United will be brought to its knees, and the transfer of aircraft from XJT will be cancelled. Unfortunately that is not going to happen. Nothing can stop this because the die was cast for this long ago by ExpressJet and United management.
As I said earlier I'm sorry that this his happening to ExpressJet, but this is the creation of your management and United, not TSA pilots. All our management did was bid on the flying. We took no paycuts, in fact we have extracted improvements in our contract from management over the last year because they needed our help to comply with 117. The biggest factor in our getting these contracts are the changes in management at TSA starting with KS and his ability to improve the airline and make it a good place to work where we are treated fairly. This has resulted in operational improvements to the airline.
We will be able to staff these aircraft because we have a good contract that will attract people for fast upgrades and others seeking a good opportunity. If Mesa can fill classes with their horrible contract, then TSA will have no problem.

How does it not? A senior FO could be a second year guy making $35/hr at the top of a junior seniority list. (A TSA guy that doesn't meet the mins next year) Topped out are all these guys waiting on their 7 year upgrade at Envoy/Xjet, making $40+ per hour. Two plus two equals four if you need help with that too.

I garuntee somebody at Unitard just said "I know I put expressjets phone number somewhere".
Good luck but spite, banks and major hiring is going to tickle.
