Keep an eye on Monster.com. That is where Transstates post for FAs, so I guess if we do go to DFW. Their should be a hiring post there.

A crew member would be assigned Washington DC, but IAD and DCA would both be considered your base.

What does the contract say about that?

Big gains to be made if the contract says "No co-domicile."

At Endeavor we were asked for a co JFK / LGA domicile but it was killed before it even got a vote.

A few points about the DC area...

-The trip would need to begin and end in the same base.
-Reserve call out would need to be at least 3 hours.
-Parking would need to be provided at both bases. I know DCA is limited in terms of crew parking, so the company needs to understand what they are getting themselves into.
-Public transport between IAD and DCA currently requires a train ride / bus ride combination. Youd also need to purchase a smartrip card. It takes roughly 2 hours to get between the two airports if using public transport.

Way I understand it, you are technically an FO but qualified for the left seat. Whenever you fly trips as a CA you are paid CA pay, but when you fly as an FO you get paid a blended rate which is half way between CA and FO pay. You can bid just like any other FO for a Captain slot, and once awarded a regular Captain slot you can't be displaced by more Senior FOs that upgrade. The chances of this happening are pretty good if you get in early because we have a lot of FOs that are not qualified for upgrade.

For the purpose of upgrade, pilots that have been employed by the company will be credited with one hour of flight time toward the total time required for upgrade for each hour flown in company aircraft to a maximum of 500 hours. They will also be credited two hours of flight time toward the multi-engine time required for upgrade for every one hour flown in company aircraft to a maximum of 500 hours.
Probably thinking about the 1000 hour requirement for 121.
I stand corrected. Thanks

I honestly think this is a long shot and if we do get AA flying DFW is more likely.

I find it funny anytime an airline has AA rumors everyone always thinks MIA will happen. We had that rumor too. It very well could happen but everyone wants it so bad its always a hot rumor.
