Unless it has changed, new hires can't get paid for sick calls. That's a raw deal. Also, for an airline--not for real jobs--the insurance is pretty expensive (it's below the norm for real jobs), and the pay in training is bad enough that if you come in while collecting unemployment (which I did), you can continue to collect said unemployment (which I did) because the pay is less than the unemployment.

The reserve rules are the worst part, and the 401(k) is garbage. If the reserve rules could be cleaned up, it would be much better.

Specifically what about the reserve rules as compared to other better regionals could be cleaned up?

Yeah, I was thinking those pay scales looked like they were barely average, if not below average.

No duty rig, min pay only for reserves. I believe it's better of credit or 4hrs (5hrs airport reserve), having trouble finding it. First year FO pay $24.92, captain tops out at $101.43 at 18 yrs. Those go up about 1.5% next year. Per diem $1.70, goes to $1.80 next August.

Finally, some real information. Thanks for that.

Here is the information I have. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

These things seem below average:

Minimum guarantee of 74 hours for reserve
No minimum duty pay for line holder
No trip or duty rigs and no minimum trip pay
Per diem $1.70
Vacation pay 3.25 hours per day
Minimum days off line holder 11 days
Sick accrual and bank
401k matching
No B fund company contributions

These things seem average.

Line holder minimum monthly guarantee 75 hours
Deadhead 100%
Minimum days off reserve 11 days
Cancellation pay
Pay rates

These things I don't have information on.

Vacation accrual ?
Percentage of healthcare premiums paid by company
Uniform allowance
LTD
OJI bank

Here is who I consider slightly better:

Envoy

ASA

Express Jet

Here is who I feel we top:

Endeavor

PSA

Piedmont

Mesa

Republic

Air Wisconsin

Go Jet

These are just jet operators and I excluded Skywest as in reality they don't have a contract per say.

No need to apologize. But I disagree with most of what you said here. The Slightly Better regionals are more than slightly better. And Air Wisconsin should be one of those that is more than slightly better. Even PDT could be considered slightly better! But the fact that you think Air Wisconsin is worse makes me wonder about this assessment.

The person who said that the TSA contract is above average cares.

So is it ok for Gojet pilots to be happy where their working also?

If they are, fine! If not go somewhere else! Nobody forces someone to take a job at any company..

Your question is kind of stupid.

Would I be happy or work at gojet? No... That's why I don't work there..

12 days off for a lineholder in a 31 day bid period. 75 hours of guarantee. 1.70 per diem I think is better than most. If it isn't then 1.80 is which is what it is going up to next year. I'm not saying that there aren't things to work on in this contract.

401k match is bad
healthcare could be better
min day and/or duty rig

Show me a company where it's amazing to be on reserve. If there were side by side comparisons of every company out there that would be easier. Air Wisconsin's contract is way better for the person who said it wasn't.

Unlimited ready reserve, for starters. The RR window of 10 hours is awful, and you don't get any real credit or pay for it. The long-call system isn't that great. Reserve should be set up so that you don't come on duty until noon or so the first day (allows for commuting) and you should be released by noon or one in the afternoon on the last day so that you can get home. There are some other issues with it, but I don't remember the specifics.

But, as is often said, I no longer work there, and no longer have a dog in the fight. But, I prefer to see regional work rules elevated to a more humane level.

Uh the whole thing is an issue. And worst part is there's no discretion on their part to the point of stupidity.
