As great as it is to hear all the rumors, maybe some fact checking is due. The only way it's a net gain of 18 birds would be if TSA dumped every United painted EP (2), and every non TR equipped LR (16). Except a few of those LR's have recently been repainted. Doesn't make much sense to repaint an aircraft to let it go to the desert.
That being said, if it were only 18 additional aircraft, why would TSA need 200 CQFO's? While some aircraft will be replaced, the fleet will still see a net gain of 30 plus aircraft. 36 additional aircraft for United Express...25 currently plus 36 (additional) = 61 total. Many in the fleet may be replaced, but we won't "lose" aircraft. Read between the lines.

You're not considering the fact that there may be additional planes coming from somewhere else that has yet to be announced. The memo mentioned this possibility.

Something more than 18 net. 18 net yields 90-100 captains and wouldn't bring with it the need for 200 CQFO's.

Everybody has bias and their opinion if a contract or company is good to work for.. Do we have the best contract? No. Do we have the worst? No. Is the company and management OK to work for now? Yes! Every place has its faults but I can say I really have no complaints working here. I think negotions are right around the corner for next contract. Hope it all goes well.
Right, so to get rid of the bias, I was asking to see what your contract has. Keep in mind that the person I originally quoted didn't mention your great management whatsoever. He specifically mentioned your contract. And personally, unless my information is out of date, it's barely average. And I think I'm being generous there.

Max out at 300 hrs in the sick bank; accrued at 2hrs first 2 yrs, 3hrs yrs 3-5, 4hrs monthly after that. 100% DH pay (100 % cancellation as well)....health for pilot only $112.37, pilot+1 is $312.13, family $425.63. 401K matching up to 50% of 6% of compensation (max match of 4%) after 4 years. 4%, 2% prior to that. No duty rig, min pay only for reserves. I believe it's better of credit or 4hrs (5hrs airport reserve), having trouble finding it. First year FO pay $24.92, captain tops out at $101.43 at 18 yrs. Those go up about 1.5% next year. Per diem $1.70, goes to $1.80 next August.

Here is who I consider slightly better:
Envoy
ASA
Express Jet
Here is who I feel we top:
Endeavor
PSA
Piedmont
Mesa
Republic
Air Wisconsin
Go Jet
These are just jet operators and I excluded Skywest as in reality they don't have a contract per say.
