That's the problem right there, everyone is willing to give these recruiters a pass. Of course you have to do research. But I have never interviewed with a company outside this industry, where a prospective employer was so blatantly deceptive about the current status of things.

They are supposed to be two different things. Call your ALPA rep or talk to your chief pilot about it.

As four sour grapes, all I have to say is thanks TSA for the EMB-145 type, it just landed me my first corporate gig.
As far as going somewhere and not sitting reserve, well, I haven't sat one day of reserve at Mesa.
Hey, you're ok with them lying to get people through the door, then good for you. The regionals are in need of people that will bend over with a smile.
Mesa? LOL you're funny. Wait till Jonny O screws United over again and they start losing airplanes. Its happened before, it will happen again.

That's my point. You're not the first guy, and certainly won't be the last to have his plans screwed by this industry. If you can't deal with the chaos and change, maybe accounting is for you. It's been an unstable, chaotic mess since deregulation.

The fact that you would go anywhere, and bet the farm that you wouldn't be on reserve as a new hire tells me you have no clue about this industry and how it works, particularly at the regional level. Good luck, you're going to need it.

Good luck with the corporate gig. Better hope they don't sell the plane then you'll be back here crying about how they *lied* to you too....

How do you manage to get fired in these times? All you have to do, at a very minimum is show up and push buttons every so often and then occasionally fly. That guy must've been a really good person and pilot.

Ok so what you're saying is, it's ok for a prospective employer to lie or misrepresent the status of the company, and I'm supposed to be the professional and just assume everything they are telling me isn't true. Hmmm...makes sense. Dude, screw your "good luck." I'm doing just fine. Fortunately TSA, and the regional industry, you are there to drink the kook aid and be their cheerleader, and thank god I know longer have too.

For your information I'm not crying about anything, I'm merely calling them out on what they do. I've been proactive in getting out and seeking better opportunities for myself in aviation.

Yeah, when you draw a line as to how far you'll let them push you, it can happen.

So you're saying you violated your contract which you willingly signed. Got it.
