Sorry, no rumors. But I have been waiting for one week to start IOE. I was told it could take up to one month. Too many new hires and not enough check airmen.

One thing to keep in mind with TSH is the company is privately held, and they don't have to say squat to anyone till they are ready to move. Thus the rumor mill....

You're lucky. A couple of my buddies had to wait almost two months because they were upgrading quite a bit back in December.

I waited 6 weeks to start IOE last spring. I haven't flown in a month, and I don't see myself flying the rest of the year. I spent 12 days on airport reserve in July. Zero open time and if there is, 20 pilots senior to me try to pick it up. We have so many reserve pilots I think they are making up different reserve hours. RP3, RP4??? No idea what that is.

But good things are coming, right? Right……..

Hey, I'll start a rumor:

- XJT is parking a ton of 145s over the next year and 3 months or so.

- TSA can operate the 145 for a heck of a lot cheaper than XJT can.

- If United decides they want to keep any of those aircraft around, where do you think they might end up?

I've got ZERO inside information, but I'd bet this is the thought process inside the literally waterlogged building that is the TSH HQ.

If you listen to the monthly call in show they sound less than enthusiastic about any new flying. Doesn't sound like they're doing much mostly because they say the same thing over and over every time. They just want to improve current ops. They're worried that people are starting to leave. There's no way we can staff more.

We were offered flying. But of course the numbers weren't what management liked. They are still working out the details to make an agreement. Famous last words "supposedly we will know soon". During a meeting "Someone" said something about a west expansion.

A more legit rumor is iPads by December to everyone. 6 month trial phase. Which means you still have to carry the Galaxy tab and Jepps.
Plus those waste of space ship sets. I guess Max is making the mounting brackets for the plane.

So... yes, more flying in the works. That's what the hiring is for. But, still doesn't mean we will actually get the flying.
