I feel you comair guys! We are in different times however... Though anything is possible I highly doubt that envoy is going the way of comair... If anything happens I could foresee a merger for staffing purposes. But I guess we won't really know until we're looking back on it in hindsight...

As for a merger, AMR could not find a taker for years, and I don't see that happening now, especially since they have a fair number of senior folks. My guess is that there will be a negotiated liquidation/shutdown that will include incentives for people to stay long enough for the flying to be transitioned in an orderly fashion.
The company simply can not make the threat of liquidating, and then say, "Oh, we were just kidding." Eagle/Envoy is gone. It's just a matter of how and when.

The stress of not knowing was the worst part of the last couple of years at Comair. The news of the liquidation was, in many ways, a relief.

You're missing one thing..... The company stated that they never said they'd comair us but that it was mentioned to try and prove to us that we had to vote for the concessions or they could find an airline to staff the airplanes... Our union took that as a big threat and in my opinion may have exaggerated it a bit to make a statement! Word is they're back in talks for the remainder of the 175's... Who knows where it will lead but we knew they'd have to place the initial aircraft somewhere for credibility. Again we are in a completely different hiring environment and the way AAG is spending money on recruitment programs and other things leads me to believe that we aren't going anywhere.... We will and are shrinking no doubt... I have heard that they want us around 2000 pilots which is way down from the 3200 we had 2 years ago.
The merger I had mentioned will most likely come in the form of buying another regional or merging us or PSA or piedmont as staffing woes become worse...

I just applied at TSA because I hear of quick upgrades. I've been with another regional for awhile now and I am looking to see what the TIME requirements are at TSA to upgrade. What are the current domiciles?

Roger. There's been a lot of guys with no 121 experience thinking they will upgrade quickly when their number comes up, but don't realize they need 1,000 hours SIC (or the other qualifying req's) before they can upgrade at a 121...so you're good.
As for where to go - it a toss up with everything going on...

How long is the upgrade right now, as in, what is the DOH for the most junior Captain. APC shows December 2013. I have 5800+ TT with 5000+ as SIC on the EMB. I thank you for all your help.
