Except TSA hasn't bent over and taken the Delta meat stick in the yam slot, if you catch my drift... TSA really is changing for the better, and so far hasn't gone to a B-scale payscale... Can't say that about Endeavor can ya' .........

Kinda hard to do that when all the old original Comair management is moving to TSA.

Every time I search through a thread for information I end up never wanting to work for that company. So I'm going to just ask for the latest.

I want to be based in IAD, and I don't want to be on reserve forever. Is trans states good choice? I don't care about upgrade/contract/pay.

From talking to all my friends at TSA, you can get based there right out of training. I know the class that went through in August of 2012, there is guys that have been offered upgrades already. My buddy is one of them, but doesn't have 1,000hrs part 121 yet. As for holding a line...... January of this year when I went through training you could hold a line in 3 months or so.... FlyingKat was in my class in January, I'm sure he'll chime in.

First off I just want to say, I love deadheading to out stations and working only 5 legs in three days. I guess this is going to be the new norm for the rest rules?

You can probably get IAD right out of training. Can't say about reserve. I only sat Reserve for 3 weeks but that was last spring. I've heard we are staffed for 117 but continuing to hire for some reason. Could be bigger things on the horizon but can't really say for sure. They did the same thing a year ago when they knew 7 more airplanes were coming for United. Lots of speculation, but nothing solid. Contract is about average, but you do get cancellation pay which is huge. Its a good place to work and the management is willing to work with the pilots, which is a break from the past at this company. Right now upgrade is less than a year.

Probably. I hear the first trial version of lines for January were pretty ugly.

New motto for 117

"You're going to work more and get paid less"

TAFB goes up dramatically and unless your per diem is $30/hr expect a pay cut.

Pretty much. Unfortunately with the way United mixes the regional flying in its hubs, its hard to make productive schedules. The best solution is to make our duty time as productive as possible, but unless this policy is changed to allow regionals to concentrate on one hub, it will be nearly impossible to make productive schedules.
