You were there for 6 months and still on probation. How could any promises get fulfilled...other than you were flying on reserve. I'm sure there are guys at other regionals who've been on reserve a lot longer and would like to fly a little. If the company who is signing your checks tells you that you have to do something within your contract, do it. No one owes you anything. Literally no one.

Sounds like they finally made an example out of someone. I've heard guys doing worse things during their probation that are still here.

And that's why they can get away with paying a ****ty wages, crappy schedules and horrible reserve rules. Again not just trans states but the entire regional industry in general

A lot of airlines won't let you commute to where you actually start flying if you're on reserve. Scheduling is more flexible with line-holders in this situation.
Sorry to hear you lost your job over this. Good luck to you and your family in the future.

So when you went down to IAH did they actually change your schedule and call you to have you do something different from out of STL?
