^^^ yyyyyyep... Our class and I'm sure all other classes were warned about that 30 day suspension stuff IS REAL during Basic Indoc under "Approved Headsets" in the GOM.

The company took three weeks away from me this summer.... So if I want 30 days off all that I have to do is wear my own headset... noted

Here I've been trying to find a funny meme for this but I still can't even comprehend what is happening. Need sleep... Head hurts.

"Approved Headsets" in the GOM
I highly recommend taking an aviation law class or that your company teach you a bit about the difference between "accepted" and "approved" and things that are "recommended".
Then the question is, is the manual "FAA approved" or accepted? What's the regulatory requirement to follow the manual? What do the opsspecs say? Is this a GOM or AFM?
And although the FSDO is going to be riding along at times, what is the CMO's position on this?

Ill find all this and more in a few short hours. Ha! Sounds a little out there if you ask me. But. Then again, it could be a fsdo doing everything possible to screw someone they have a bone to pic with at tsa...its a little weird to me. Seems to be on the border of words vs. legality.
