Hi,

Why is the upgrade sooo short??? 3-6 months ??? Or is this typo and meant 3-6 years?

If it really is months, how is the possible when places like Skywest, expressjets are around 5-8years?

Thanks

Seems like a good question to ask at the interview.

Because TSA is growing by almost a third in the next 3 months, and many of the current FOs don't have the minimums for upgrade. Therefore if you have upgrade mins, you'll be in class in a very short amount of time.

(There are 6 year FO's upgrading now, but future classes will all be filled by fairly recent hires)

Might want to read through this thread. In short, 7 new aircraft for United and not enough FOs to upgrade when Majors start hiring this summer.

When you only have 22 planes and get 7 new ones... that's a huge percentage. Hence the very short time for upgrade right now

Last year at this time the TSA threads had info about how TSA was losing a plane or two a year....and now TSA is growing! Does anyone know how long the contract is on the planes and the new ones coming on board.

Go back about 6 pages, you'll find it, but since I'm super fly, and a nice guy... http://www.airlinepilotforums.com/re...emb-145-a.html

You are superfly, thanks! When these threads get to be over 50 pages it can be difficult to find the info wanted!

How long has it taken for HR to call people back after putting their stuff in? Submitted today via airlineapps as well as a direct email to Kathy.
