Haha, we had a sim instructor that was furloughed from another airline and they PIC qual'd him out of seniority so he coud be a sim instructor. We called him Lieutenant Dan because he was doing training but wasn't a line captain. Not the nicest guy in the world either.

Trans States will continue to hire like crazy until unical gets their contract... tsa will then have to shed their 50 seaters to allow more 70 seaters at gojets.... tsa furloughs 90% of the pilots keeping 10% to fly the few routes at us air. Realizing you can't make money with 3 airplanes, the doors will be shut and waterskiiers will be offered jobs at gojets... after interviewing their of course. Do you really think their are any positive scenarios out there? I think not.
