Exactly. They actually have a chance at finding flying for them. Trans states on the other hand.... buy them first... sell them first. Plus cmon we all know waterskiers never get good news (if you call mrjs at the regionals good)

Are mrj pay rates in the contract? Tsa is scheduled for 2014 deliveries. The mrj hasn't even had its maiden flight. Expect delays.

Yes, but right now only in IAD. You sit for 10 hours, get paid for 5, unlimited times per month. Two shifts 5a - 3p and 1p - 11p. A lot of people in STL used to make a lot of money that way, but since the tornado last year, they haven't had it. The tornado took out the crew room and the new one doesn't have a rest room, (contractual requirement), so they just don't do it.

I guess that would be easier than my LAX-STL commute but this particular company isnt really easy to commute to...if you're stl based.

As for QOL...it's improved greatly with the new contract (your bank account will like you a bit more) but reserve is reserve. As of June (when I peaced out) there was no airport reserve in STL... Airport reserve was how I funded my Indian girl habit by the way...

No I'm not in Houston. I live in the central Texas area. It would be a 2 leg commute unless i can get out of AUS. The plan is to eventually move to Dallas but for now I've hunkered down with low financial overhead as I flight instruct. I've played the non rev game when I was a Colgan ramper and I am familiar with the old continental system which is what united uses. TSA has already offered me a sept class date if I pass the interview which is kinda weird I thought. I already had a XJT interview last week that went well but I have not gotten an offer yet. I've heard a lot of controversy about TSA but if it's a good group of guys I'm willing to give it a shot. I'm sure there will be a fair share of "suckage" but I'm no stranger coming from an enlisted military background! I'm not chasing a quick upgrade but that would be nice. I'm just looking for good start in the 121 world. Thanks for all the input fellas!
