Gotcha, thanks...been sitting on the sidelines waiting to pull the trigger, trying to figure out how to predict the future
Being home based is pretty critical for me, i suppose if i pull off that, reserve wouldn't be that bad anyway....

They aren't telling new hires that you'll be on reserve for at least 2 years anymore? They must not want to scare anyone else off. Yeah it all is based on attrition. And it's anyone's guess how that's going to go. Supposedly (according to rumors) we just lost out on some more flying. Which is probably the 5th or 6th time that's happened in the last 5 years. So I wouldn't count on anything but attrition to move things along. If they're hiring solely for attrition and it doesn't happen watch out.

I hate to sound like one of those old farts over in the majors section, but damn...in this industry, you'll pull your hair out trying to predict the future, speaking from experience of course

If you live in base and are on reserve, it's tolerable. I did it back when we had the RIC base...
If you commute to reserve at this place as an FO...god help you.

Okay, heard the rumor that we turned down over 20 planes new (actually 30 this time) flying, still would like to know who got it if we didn't.

climbto350 has a Trans States ad up that says you're hiring into PIT. Is this new flying? I wasn't aware you guys had a domicile there.
