IIRC, you were paid something like $1337.40/month during training. Accommodations are your responsibility, which means you gotta find a hotel that will give you a monthly rate. Used to be the Pear Tree was where most of us were holed up. But not sure anymore these days.

Also, check out the Pilot Projects . It usually fills up pretty quick as everyone (AA, GoJet, Air Choice One, USA3000, etc.) uses it. Another way is to link up with some people before ground school, secure a large hotel room, and split the cost.

Per my conversation with the HR, she said 60 hours a month during training. I am assuming the base rate is $21/hr?

We're planning on 12 weeks-ish. Including IOE.
I miss the Pilot Projects!

If only we had something that nice out here in IAD.

Back in my day it was 60 hours at 22.29 and you got 800 for living accommodations paid when you finished IOE. Now that might be WAY outdated but that's the way it was when good ole uncle Saluki went through the schoolhouse.

Aha! That's it. I knew it had something to do with a 6 and a 0. So, 60 x $22.29 = $1337.40 - taxes. I was way off. My bad.

Dude, you shouldn't have done that....WAY too played out. I just picked up a new Aston Martin Virage.

That's way classier for the IAD parking lot...and it doesn't stand out so much.

Yes at IAD it wouldn't stand out much, especially if you park valet.

Haha u know what it is. Nothing like seeing an M5 or a Corvette with the license plate that says UALPilot1 or JetFlyer or anything with JET on it parked next cars made in the 90s.

Not going to lie but someone DOES have a silver early 2000s E39 M5 in the employee lot.

I must admit....I'm jelly.

No corny license plate though.
