Anybody know if Trans States is going to start hiring again anytime soon?

I really like working here but I honestly wish we knew more of what was going on from STL. It's like we're all in the dark on everything.
Keep your eyes open for opportunities though man.

TSA has about 150000% reserve coverage and is displacing pilots. I don't see any movement until the end of next year if the company survives that long. Rumors have been spreading about "keeping" the planes TSA was going to start to loose beginning next year due to the end of the United contract. Also, there is a rumor about "new" E145 flying... but if this results in an actual net gain of aircraft for the pilots is in debate. Regardless, this too is a rumor and should be taken as such. All of this reminds me of the management mantra "We're always looking for new flying. We're always looking for new opportunities." Management is not above putting out rumors to preclude a mass exodus of pilots from the company. Remember, management always needs every pilot they have until the day they furlough you. They want it on their terms and not yours. The only facts are that TSA is running a ridiculous surplus of pilots at the moment with no firm indication of any flying on the horizon. With no new flying, the only need for more pilots would be due to implementation of the rest rules or age 65 kicking in. Age 65 won't happen until the end of next year. It doesn't matter who said what about renewing leases on airplanes. Unless pilots are flying them after the scheduled return date or the company releases an official memo about it, anything can happen. And statistically, for TSA, whatever news comes will probably be bad. I don't think I've heard of a good piece of news from the company except the new contract dating back to the go jets debacle which was good news until the TSA pilots lost it all. In this industry, it's always best to expect bad and plan for the worst.

I find it strange that I can still wear my contract now shirt, since I am still unable to see the contract, and can put up my retro pay for contract delay sun shield, since I have not recieved my 3 dollars yet.

Even if you apply to TSA, you will get a GOJET application and interview.

I'm hearin were losing 7 planes. Aquiring 14. Net gain of 7. Sadly we still probably won't hire.

There's no point in disputing pure speculation. Unless there's a memo or you see the 7 new airplanes what's the point?
