TSA is about to start a 6 month trial for a full EFB. They have ipads now for everything but route manuals.

Wow. That is good to hear. I know it is a painful and expensive process, but even more so to not do it.

We should be EFB by now but our POI is literally an idiot. Literally. We trained for the program back in the winter but since Lufthansa changed the app a little, we had to create a whole new training program, get it certified (which has taken months), have the pilots redo a CBT, have a few pilots do a table top with him present (again) and then we can start to use it for normal ops. He is doing everything in his power to resist any change like he did with AQP

So no one has an idea of when the RDU base is going to stand up? Any guestimates?

They are trying to hire FAs for it now from what I hear. Maybe by late winter? Of course, they said DEN would be the biggest base and it competes with ORD as the smallest right now. So really, it's anyone's guess.

Hello All,

I'm gonna interview with TSA next week. If hired I'm hoping to base out of DEN and will need to commute there from SGU or possibly LAS if needed.

Are new hires getting DEN or is there a wait? If so, how long?

Is commuting from SGU/LAS realistic?

Thanks

I don't think anybody been awarded Denver in the last 4 months. Try and not go between SLC and DEN. Those are OO bases, so good luck commuting between their bases

From what I have heard through the grape vine Denver is set to grow now that the American planes are all here. I was told 200 pilots out there by April during my interview.
