Trans States Furloughing 2009
Well, as it stands as of ten minutes ago, I am being furloughed February 5th, 2009.
DG (flight manager) said we are furloughing in January, February, and March in conjunction with the loss of the AMR planes. He said it will affect guys all the way into the June 2007 class.
Sorry guys.

I just got a phone call too. Not sure the date of furlough as I didn't answer the phone. I called back several times, but no answer. However, I am halfway up the list in the June 07 class. Gives you an idea of how senior they are going.
I couldn't care less, honestly. I'm done with this pursuit. It was fun, I guess, but not without its costs. I'm out right before Christmas (only way to spend it with my family), regardless of when they furlough me. Its back to school for me, and I know that if I ever come back to the airlines, it WILL NEVER be back to this damn company. That is why I can walk away from my seniority, even with a Feb furlough date, and not look back.

It's official, unless something changes between now and then. And the info I posted originally is straight out of the Flight Manager's mouth. They are bringing the total number of pilots down to 365 based on the info he gave me. Makes sense, 33 aircraft, 365 pilots.

I can't believe DG is a fleet manager (i think that is what you meant). I was in class with him in 06, hard to believe he is management. I got out of TSA in 07, best move I ever made and I am sure the furloughs will feel the same eventually. Mabye your MEC will do what we did at XJT and work out a pref interview agreement with Mesaba.
