Question Need Help with RS485 Communication

Hi everyone,

I'm working on the toilet assemblies with part numbers TA9115-00, TA9116-00, TA9125-00, and TA9126-00. I'm trying to check the RS485 communication using the Component Maintenance Manual (CMM) method, but I'm running into issues. Here's what I've done so far based on the CMM instructions:
  1. Connected pin A of the RS485 terminal to pin N of connector A and pin B to pin R.
  2. Set up the PC RS485 interface with the following settings:
    • 1 start bit
    • 7 data bits (ASCII)
    • 1 parity bit, odd parity
    • 2 stop bits
    • Baudrate: 9600 baud
  3. Switched on the 28.0 VDC ± 0.5 VDC to the toilet assembly.
  4. Entered the command
    Code:
    H PV
to log in to the RS485 terminal and checked for the response
    Code:
    AOA Factory mode
    .
  5. Entered the command
    Code:
    T 1
    to start RS485 bus monitoring.
Despite following these steps, I'm not getting the expected communication output(
Code:
AOA Factory mode)
. I verified that the A/C identification switch is open and the FCM is supplied with 28 VDC, but no success. Has anyone encountered similar issues or have any troubleshooting tips for this setup?

Thanks in advance for your help!
