It was pretty nice of management to remind people that MAC is enforcing the MAC policy. What is wrong with the reminder? The policy has been that way for at least 14 years, which was when I started paying out of pocket to use the ramp when commuting out of Minneapolis to Houston.

What is the fix? Keep complaining about something that is totally fine and maybe we will end up parking at building C. That way the company can avoid paying expensive parking, and you can show up for work 30 minutes earlier to take the employee shuttle bus over to the terminal.

Missing the point completely. I guess people have to depend on friends because they can't count on their company to do the right thing, gotcha. I think there is a solution for commuters since this seems to be enough of a problem that the company has to make such a reminder, which I appreciate, but for them not to be part of a solution is troubling. It's in our contract. Every time you turn around lately the company is changing a policy that affects our contract and quality of life. Yes, again, I know it's a MAC issue, but it's a company problem and solution. My next question is how far can they erode your benefits before you care? Where is your line in the sand? Yeah, yeah I know it's not parking for you. If we let them take the little things, eventually they will take the big things and possibly a benefit that you hold dear or find important. Just saying just because you don't have a problem with the deterioration of your benefits, doesn't mean others are okay with it. Glad you're not on my negotiating committee. Again, this isn't totally about parking. I've made my points in previous post and those are just ignored. I guess we will just have to agree to disagree. Don't forget to pay your ALPA dues because they find this important and a violation, so I'm not some lone pilot complaining who doesn't even commute.

An airport parking lot isn't meant to be a storage garage... Therefore, I don't think there is an issue with having a policy, and enforcing it. It's their rule, big deal. Figure out something to do with your car on day 11.

Again missing the point. All fish are big at this point. We are coming up on negotiations and you want to fight for what you think is important and others that want to fight for something is small fish? This whole issue came about because the company now schedules people for more than 10 days off, plain and simple. This letter from Todd came out because he knew it would be a problem with the schedules being built for December. So they created the problem and told commuters, sorry fend for yourself, our bad. I don't think pilots are looking to have a storage garage for God's sake. I'm out.

The email from the CP office came as a reminder of the MAC policy. Because somebody went on a 2 week vacation to Thailand and left their car in the ramp, and had to pay for parking after the 10 days.

If there is a single fleet, no growth, linear retirements and people get hired at 35, and retire at 65, upgrade would average at 15 years. If there is a faster upgrade it is because of people leaving for better places, higher retirements or growth. AFAIK sun country doesn't have higher than average retirements. The fleet plan according

means it would be beyond 2026 before the fleet doubles, and you upgrading, so at least 8 years.
So the only reason you would upgrade in 2 years is enough peole leaving to go to a better place, and that could make you question your desire for Sun Country....

I hope to upgrade in less than 3 years, but it doesn't look too promising at this point. At least 40 FOs have bypassed, i'm curious as to how many keep bypassing.
