I wouldn't call moldy apples, a stale cookie and hard pita bread with "roast beef" a crew meal. The 1 oz bag of chips is usually ok though.

Any idea when this may or may not happen?

Where any new bases will be is purely speculation at this point. We are opening a new small Flight Attendant base in DFW in December and another in PDX. Not sure if those are harbingers of things to come for the pilot group. As long as we are speculating, I would think LAS and MCO could be contenders since we seem to like to experiment with different seasonal routes to each of them. We're doing a lot of deadheading to operate out of these new markets which must drive the bean counters nuts.

The company told our NC last month that new bases ARE coming. Our contract says they need to give us at least 90 days notice and the terms are subject to arbitration. I'm sure a warm weather and/or West coast base would help with their recruiting efforts.

Given your CEO's past at G4, I think LAS and MCO (SFB?) are likely going to be strong contenders

I see DFW being thrown around as a possible future base. Is there anymore to this then people throwing out wild guesses?

PDX. That’s coming straight from the man himself.

Another thing to consider here at SCA. Benefits are deteriorating and expect them to continue. Commuters beware. The latest.... If you park for more than 10 days at the employee lot you will either be charged or towed. So if you have more than 10 days off or you have vacation find a new place to park your car. Another reason this is not a commuter friendly airline and commuters should stay far away.

I have worked here for over three years. This has been the policy the entire time. It’s from MAC, not the company, and was clearly stated on the form I filled out to receive my parking pass.

Not stated in our contract anywhere. It's never been the responsibility of the pilot. Check out your contract and tell me where it addresses 10 days and you pay? Also, the company never used to build schedules with more than 10 days off, so it was never an issue, but now since they can't find business, pilots don't fly. Keep drinking that Kool-aid and let me know how it tastes, say maybe after 10 years, not your 3. All this still doesn't change the fact that flying here as a commuter is not the greatest idea in this market for young pilots. Commuters beware.
