On a side note about the MEC… vote. him. out.
You gotta be actually silly to think it's the right time to vote for change... Listen to the overwhelming support from the volunteers who are on the ground every day working for the pilot group and expressing their support for EM. Previous chairman's endorsement should be enough to sway anyone to not vote to change. But ex hotel committee members are bitter and voting and swaying young pilots with emotion. Not logic.

It’s also a little ironic how the same people on here are extolling the creative virtues of system reserve trips don’t recognize who was a
major player to get them into this contract…

My point is that we’ve been hearing for years about how the company wants (and has offered) to improve reserve rules, QOL and pay, but the union is turning down the offer ‘because it only benefits junior pilots’. I have heard this explicitly several times. My comment was to point out that this is an absolute lie. Improving reserve would benefit senior pilots first, because they get to hold it first.

If regular reserve looked like system reserve I wouldn’t be able to hold it. It would benefit every single pilot on

Our current MEC is using our current reserve pilots misery as leverage. It affects all of us and it’s deplorable.
hold on a minute. The MEC is by no means using the reserves as leverage. Listen to what you said. The company said... The company could build reserve lines with 15 days off a month, 20 days a month. The contract says minimum 12/13 off a month not maximum. I guarantee you if the company wanted to pay reserves more and give reserves more days off the MEC would sign that ASAP. You are listening to the companies spin and negotiating tactics. The companies offers have strings attached...
