I think the pay raise from 3 to 4 is from being able to hold a relief/regular line where you are able to participate in IOT, LIP and Daily open time to increase your income. That is from seniority not a pay scale issue. I know 25+ year captains making 250 and 5 year captains making 500. It's all about what you want.
I also don't see to many 30000 numbers trying to run for MEC office. The FO rep running is a 30000 and CA rep is a 31000. I wouldn't call those numbers junior anymore. Aren't we in the 37000 range for new hires? Soon to be pushing into 38000.

What those people don’t realize is that person who bought a helicopter has worked his @ss off at Sunny waaaay longer than probably 2/3 of the seniority list has even been on property. Not to mention no kids and a wife that works. The amount of misinformation on this thread is beyond ridiculous.
Misinformation is right, along with a lot of entitlement and impatience.

I know nothing about helicopters. My arguement is for a slope that looks like AK. And better reserve rules to improve our FO/CA imbalance. If that's greedy, then I'm guilty. I'm just a pilot in the trenches and I absolutely want lto fully support our MEC. Good people.
There's dramatic changes in pilot demographics at Sunny so times do change. Also think times are good. The twenty freighters offer awesome job security. When NK files chap 11 I'll feel good being here. Schedules suck but that can be fixed.

On a side note, from buddies that talked to Hawaiian at RTAG. It seems as though the 330 is flying a lot more than it used to. I’m curious to see what will happen in 3-4 years when Alaska/Hawaiian are fully intergraded.

There's an election going on? The last communication I've gotten was September 17 and it says the nomination process ends on 10/10. According to that, there would have to be a later ballot where the successful nominees are listed and we would have an election.

I'm slightly embarrassed to admit this but I only wear the MEC lanyard bc I think it looks cooler than the black ALPA and Company lanyards. Wish we had more company options. Love the ALPA flag tie though. I'm a 3xxxx guy for what it's worth.

I grabbed it because the SY lanyard is a lighter blue and it clashes with my flag tie.
