Very, very, few are upgrading anyway.
Just fifteen upgrades first five months of the year. On pace for thirty-six upgrades in 2024.
I never said anything about 500 hours, that was the other guy. I just know the FOM because I’m a pilot here and it’s my job to know where to find things in our manuals.

Bring back the beef with hot peppers. It dripped grease everywhere but at least had flavor. 😂

Came here to say the same thing, timing seems more than a little suspicious. The lack of upgrades is still a problem, we have so much unrealized potential here. What bothers me most is that the company cared enough to pay captains to come in and provide feedback on why people don't upgrade, but as far as I can tell they have completely ignored "the data". The opportunity cost of sticking it to labor is staggering.

They paid people who upgraded (CAs) to give feedback on why people don't upgrade? I would think polling the senior half of the FO list would have given more accurate feedback.

Funny how that data was never shared and it was basically brushed under the rug. Those top 50% FO's don't want to give up there schedules for a mediocre pay raise and probably a pay cut to some of the hustlers. As the industry cools off they are loosing hundreds of millions in potential revenue with new planes being leased out to foreign carriers.

Lol. I didn't mind the "Italian/Pepperoni wraps" of the previous catering, at least they were more edible than a lot of what we have now.

Default Future Widebodies?

In the interest of "fun," if we were to get WBs down the road, why is everyone so set on A330s? Is there any chance AT ALL we could ever get 777s or 787s? Or the 797 in the future (prob not a WB, but just for fun discussion)? I know it's not happening anytime soon but I think it would be a fun convo.

How are older A330s on dispatch reliability? I know older 767s aren't super reliable. I think the Triple is fairly reliable.

Jude says 330's are cheaper to operate than 767's but ultimately the cheapness comes from him wanting Amazon to pay for the type addon which would've been 330's had Hawaiian not bid for the. However I've heard a rumor the 330's might be on the way out as they were far more expensive to modify for cargo than oridoanlyy thought.
