It's worth trying. There are normally a couple of 135 guys in each class.

Sunny seems way better in so many ways… but I’d also like to see the family. Just seeing how you guys making it thru?

Commute Air…or any regional for that matter is just one email away from a domicile shuffle at request of the mothership…yeah commuting is going to blow but at least you know you’ll always be MSP based. Something to think about

You’re exactly right. Then I’m commuting anyways… for a regional and for half the money. My wife would kill me. I’m sold. Thank you guys. Can’t wait to start!!!

They’ll take you. They take bridge students who are currently flying Seminoles.

Default Application

Good Afternoon. I was wondering if there is any chance of a cfi applicant would get their application pulled. I a. just approaching 1500 hours of which 1200 are instructing. I have a 4 year degree and have completed ATP CTP. No checkride failures. Is it worth applying or should I apply later on after being at the regionals. Thank you!

We have taken at least one 1500 hour CFI. That isn’t super common, but there is no reason you shouldn’t apply, the worst they can say is “no.”

I got hired into the November class with 1560 TT and around 80 SIC in an ERJ but had multiple internal references. They seem to be hiring a lot of Regional FOs right now. I’d apply asap and you’ll probably hear back pretty soon.

With Sun Countries growth plans they are gonna try to hire up to 50 pilots a month once the training facility and all the new check airmen and sim instructors are ready. Being picky is one thing they cannot be in this environment. The big 4 are hiring pilots without a degree or turbine PIC. I’d apply at those places as well. This is mind blowing considering what it was like from 9-11 to about just before Covid. People weren’t kidding when they said you basically need a shuttle type rating to get hired at some places… Trust me we had one of those guys in the first new hire classes in 2010 before 8 years of no hiring.

Thank god he retired. One of the worst people to fly with at the airline. Terrible choice for check airman.
