because the pilots do not do the hiring. It’s a magical process of HR. I’m glad those people get to choose who I spend my month with. I agree we should have some more say in who gets hired. I’ve flown with pilots that have amazing resumes but are frightening in the plane. I get it it’s the times but more involvement from the pilots and ALPA would be nice.

Not a MN local but I’m in a neighboring state and would love to make SY my final destination but I still haven’t heard a thing.

Forum has been a little too quiet for my taste so I figure some nitpicking is in order. Does anyone know of another airline that locks down pilot iPads to this extent? No App Store and a very limited number of apps available to download. It would be really nice to be able to download shows on Netflix or Amazon for the commute, watching on the hotel treadmill, etc. My regional allowed free reign and I know Delta does as well. I have no desire to purchase and lug around another iPad on a six day trip. Is it just me?

yes it’s just you. I have a large screen iPad Pro that I have no problem “lugging around“ it offers a far better viewing experience than the garbage, slow, buggy company iPads. I haven’t turned a hotel TV on in years. I have no problem keeping company material separate from mine with 2 thin easy to transport devices

I use mine with Hulu, Netflix and Prime Video. Also download whatever apps I want from Apple store and never had an issue.
