Open time for reserves? I assume you’re talking about reserves picking up open time over their vacation, because that’s the only time they’re allowed to do so.

Why are reserves putting in for open time when they know they’re not suppose to??? You want our union spending time to deal with grievances that were caused by pilots in the first place? That’s some backwards thinking.

Also, please consider that while you might not be experiencing it personally, trashing the idea that the company is falling short in certain areas is awfully inconsiderate of those who are affected by it.

Where have you been? There were presentations, calls, and emails addressing this throughout November and December and it was beat to death that reserves would be able to pick up open time. Pull the tapes. I mentioned this in the previous post and you either missed or ignored it. If you are asking rhetorical questions with "???" it might be time to put down the phone and take a walk.

- If you’re talking about someone on a pure reserve line, they cannot pick up open time except when on vacation (25.I.1.b.3). Send a DART or provide another section that says otherwise. I’m open to being wrong.
-Yes, a rhetorical question can end in either a (?), (.), or a (!).
-Trashing - No
-Explaining that the company has been UNABLE to implement a small percentage of the contract and not UNWILLING to do so was my point. Being UNABLE to do so due to staffing shortages and vendor issues (AIMS) is, in this case, different than UNWILLING.
That’s about as basic as I can make it. If you disagree, that’s fine.

I’ll summarize to keep it short…

As far as the open time on reserve scenario goes, I'm not going to go into more detail here on the specifics other than to say that the company is screwing guys over and spitting in the face of what was agreed upon. If you need to know more specifics feel free to PM me.
