Give it time, our new contract will significantly slow the bleeding. The pilots leaving today scheduled interviews while the company was playing hardball in negotiations. There will always be some turnover, but increasing our training capacity should allow us to continue our growth plans. This won't last forever, something will slow the industry down before too long and we'll be wishing we could get 200% OT again. I took a 10 day vacation this month and will still clear 20k from the right seat. Make hay while the sun shines.

I thought I heard they gave them a raise. Just like our pilots, across the airport is delta. The highest paying passenger airline. They had to do something. They gave us a huge raise. The FO’s have been getting 200% for open trips since the new year. FO’s are still leaving at a rate that will make their growth plans challenging. They are making a ton. QOL isn’t getting better. That’s why pilots are leaving. The union got pay rates and work rules that will allow the pilots here to make some ridiculous w2’s. Some want QOL more than money. Not everyone wants to work 20-21days a month. But if you do the money is great.
Perhaps you are correct, “the mechanics got a pay raise.” I’m just going on my most recent conversation with mechanics last week. You are correct they needed to do something.

All of the above, but I guess not so much max hours flown as the trips aren't that efficient...if you do a 4-6 day trip with only 2 days off in between it's hard to pick up a trip that won't overlap into the next one, plus gotta find time to do laundry

Very intersting numbers. With Delta really kicking the hiring up recently (MSP base) this same analysis in a couple of months should be really telling!
Figure any hiring has to be done by April to get somebody on the line that is needed for the summer, and the hiring by then has to account for any attrition that is to come throughout the entire summer. So the Mar and April classes have to cover the need for any growth for the summer plus all the attrition! Will the new contract be an effective tool at slowing the attrition??? This same chart at the end of April should tell us.

How much longer are we going to be cancelling flights daily and taking on all this flying when we cannot staff it Not a good look at all for Sun Country as a brand when you are cancelling (full) scheduled service flights to get more cash out of that last minute charter flight...

Probably until all FOs are healthy again. NCAA flying picks up in March…anyway,Sunny is a charter/cargo airline with a scheduled service problem. Canceling a few flights to LAS or RSW a week is a drop in the bucket in the grand scheme of things
